Manaaki Hub is updated daily with attendance tracking, automated flags, populated one-click whānau contact, progress tracking and academic risk reporting.

Your dashboard is programmed on your school’s unique policies and processes. Alerts and trends are sent to the right people, as soon as they come up.

The moment data shifts, it's flagged and sent to exactly who needs to act. No student is missed, and nothing waits until it's too late.

Have a look

Manaaki Hub is made by people who work on the front lines of pastoral care. Everything your team needs, for the actual day to day.

Data from our trial schools

Manaaki Hub is currently on trial in Auckland schools with great success.

In a school of 1,400, in just one term:

3,956

student interventions logged by one school in a single term

1,205

conversations about emerging patterns of disengagement were logged

933

students received at least one intervention driven by their data - nearly two thirds of the school

238

students were escalated from tutor teachers to deans, or deans to Senior Leadership for further support

143

flagged student patterns (truancy, low attendance, lateness or behaviour concerns) were fully addressed and resolved in their data

2,262

No student slips through the cracks

In most schools, pastoral care works like this: a student gets flagged, staff respond, and attention moves to the next crisis. The loudest problem gets the focus.

The trouble is, the student you just helped might still be struggling. And without something keeping watch, they quietly disappear from view.

Manaaki Hub doesn't move on.

Unlike a staff member managing a full caseload and a full teaching load, Manaaki Hub keeps tracking every student after an intervention. If attendance doesn't improve, if unknown absences keep appearing, if a pattern continues, it surfaces that student again. Not because someone remembered to check. Because the data said so.

Manaaki Hub is not a system being used to tick boxes. It’s a safety net that never stops watching.

attendance follow-up emails, calls and meetings logged

Of the 933 students that received interventions:

246 had a single contact

293 had 2–3 contacts

207 had 4–6 contacts

117 had 7–10 contacts

70 students had 11 or more contacts

In one term, 16 of the 70 most complex cases were flagged as permanently resolved based on their data. This means staff worked through them to full closure. That's nearly 1 in 4 of the hardest cases in the school brought to a documented resolution in a single term.

One student received 47 interventions over one term.

Over 12 consecutive weeks, multiple staff members made contact with the student, whānau, and additional supports 47 times. No one forgot, no one assumed someone else had handled it, and no week went by without a check-in.

Every school has students like this. Complex situations that need sustained, coordinated attention over weeks or months. The challenge has never been whether staff care. It's whether the system supports them to keep caring, consistently, across a busy term.

“I would have missed this student entirely without the alert coming up again.”

-Tutor Teacher from trial school

  • Student A: 52% attendance, flagged October 2025, 15 contacts across 3 staff over 9 months, permanently resolved June 2026, now attending 97% of the time

    —Trial School Data

  • Student B: 75.7% → 88% attendance, after 15 flags from Manaaki hub across 65 days

    —Trial School Data

  • Student C: First flagged in November 2025 and wasn't resolved until June 2026 - 230 days later. The system kept this student visible across three terms and six people

    — Trail School Data

  • Student D: 88% → 97%, attendance after 13 flags from Manaaki Hub across 63 days

HOW MANAAKI HUB WORKS

STEP 1

Data flows in automatically

Attendance, punctuality, pastoral and academic data sync straight from KAMAR every morning, fully encrypted.

No manual entry, no spreadsheets to chase.

STEP 2

Risk is Flagged Instantly

Manaaki Hub's system automatically flags students who meet parameters set by your school. It tracks both immediate follow up and longer term patterns, positive and concerning.

STEP 3

The Right Person Is Notified

Alerts route to whoever's responsible -tutor, dean or senior leadership - depending on your processes. Actions can also be escalated within Manaaki Hub.

Manaaki Hub sends data-driven to-do lists, with appropriate follow up, straight to individuals dashboards.

STEP 4

Every Action Is Logged

Every contact, every follow-up, every escalation is tracked automatically within Manaaki Hub. Dean and senior leaders have a full picture of who's been supported, by who, how and when, without a teacher writing a word.

  • "Manaaki Hub significantly reduces the friction of having to complete admin tasks"

    — Tutor Teacher

  • "I use manaaki hub daily and am frequently alerted to issues i was not aware of"

    — Dean

  • " I think of it like a game where I need to complete all of the tasks and clicking the complete button is very satisfying"

    — Tutor Teacher

  • "All i need to do is log in - everything i need is right there."

    - Dean

  • "Manaaki hub lets me see the positives, supports, and what staff are doing about it."

    -School Principal

Every student, seen. Every concern, acted on.
